So my wife and I saw “The Last Supper” on Friday night, so I guess we contributed to its 6th place I think on its opening weekend, at least through last night. LOL
It was a last minute decision to go to the movies and though I was aware the film was coming out soon, had no idea it was this weekend. It was simply the most interesting film to us showing at local theater.
Anyway, not sure how much you’ll comment on it, but I did find a few interesting things, specifically in the way it treated Peter’s denial and Judas’ betrayal.
Thought Jesus looked to much like an early 1970’s rock star - my wife said he was too handsome - and much of the rest of the cast looked too “western” as opposed to nest-eastern. But those things didn’t detract too much.
Anyway, neither blown away or disappointed. I did find out in the opening credits my Alma mater, Grand Canyon University - here in Phoenix- was involved in producing the film. I had no idea.
Yeah, I don't know how much I'll be saying about the film myself. I watched a screener and took some notes while juggling a gazillion other things but don't know if I'll have the time to say much about it in detail. I do recall thinking it made interesting use of John 6 -- where Jesus talks about people eating his flesh and drinking his blood after feeding the 5,000, but before the Last Supper itself has taken place! -- but beyond that I'd have to look at my notes. (The other main thing I recall is how Judas kept holding his head covering in place, like he was trying to hide from the sunlight or something.)

Yeah, I noticed the Judas thing. I just took it that he was trying to hide his way too obvious duplicity.
And noticed the John 6 thing too. Not sure how many Bible films have included that.
