Super-brief video updates: The Carpenter's Son! The Chosen Season 5!
The Nicolas Cage-starring horror movie inspired by the Infancy Gospel of Thomas is coming to theatres this fall, while The Chosen's latest season is coming to the show's app next month.
Just a quick note regarding two super-brief video announcements that were made today regarding upcoming release dates.
First, we have our first footage from The Carpenter’s Son, the horror movie—inspired by the Infancy Gospel of Thomas—that stars Nicolas Cage as Joseph, FKA twigs as Mary, and Noah Jupe as Jesus. It’s only 22 seconds, but here it is:
The teaser says the film is coming out “Fall 2025 AD”, which is the first official word we’ve heard regarding the film’s North American release plans.1
And second, The Chosen released a short video in which Abe Bueno-Jallad, the actor who plays Big James (aka James son of Zebedee), revealed that Season 5 of the series (aka The Chosen: Last Supper) will be available on The Chosen’s app September 28 (three and a half months after the first episodes began streaming on Prime Video):
