Fox has released a teaser for The Faithful, its upcoming series about the women of Genesis.
I can’t embed the teaser like I usually do because Fox hasn’t made the YouTube version of the teaser available in Canada (or, for all I know, in any country outside the US). But I can watch the teaser, at least, because it has also been posted on the show’s IMDb page. So, hopefully everyone who reads this can watch it there, too.
The teaser is short—only 30 seconds—so there isn’t a lot to comment on. But it looks interesting, and I’m definitely curious to see the series, which streams on Fox One in three parts March 22-April 5, with each episode apparently arriving on Hulu the day after it premieres. (Fox One isn’t available in Canada, but Hulu is, so hopefully it won’t be too hard to see the actual series in Canada once it comes out.)
To recap earlier reports: episode one will be about Sarah (Minnie Driver) and Hagar (Natacha Karam); episode two will be about Rebekah (Alexa Davalos); and episode three will be about Leah (Millie Brady) and Rachel (Blu Hunt).
Finally, as I’ve noted before, this is the second series to star Minnie Driver as one of the women of Genesis. She previously played Leah in 2014’s The Red Tent (which starred Dune and Mission: Impossible’s Rebecca Ferguson as Leah’s daughter Dinah). So the teaser now gives us a chance to begin to compare the two performances.
