Box office: Now You See Me magic-tricks its way to the top
The third film in the 12-year-old series had the lowest opening of the bunch but was the first to be #1 at the box office. Also: The Running Man stumbled, and Predator had a huge second-weekend drop.

In a possible sign of the times, theatrically speaking, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t had the lowest opening of the three-movie series but was the first of the bunch to be #1 at the box office.
The Running Man—the second adaptation of the Stephen King novel, following a 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie—stumbled with a lower-than-expected opening.
Predator: Badlands—the latest entry in a franchise that began with another 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie—had one of the steepest second-weekend drops of any Predator movie, despite all the positive buzz around it. (It has the best RT score of any theatrical Predator movie, for example.)
Nuremberg had the best hold of any movie in the top ten.
Keeper had the lowest opening of any Oz Perkins film in wide release.
