L to R: Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.

A few of this week’s highlights:

  • In a possible sign of the times, theatrically speaking, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t had the lowest opening of the three-movie series but was the first of the bunch to be #1 at the box office.

  • The Running Man—the second adaptation of the Stephen King novel, following a 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie—stumbled with a lower-than-expected opening.

  • Predator: Badlands—the latest entry in a franchise that began with another 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie—had one of the steepest second-weekend drops of any Predator movie, despite all the positive buzz around it. (It has the best RT score of any theatrical Predator movie, for example.)

  • Nuremberg had the best hold of any movie in the top ten.

  • Keeper had the lowest opening of any Oz Perkins film in wide release.

And now, a few more stats and facts re: this week’s top ten, title by title:
